Melee weapon ricochet gets very annoying. You could make it so that the closer you are, the less likely the bullet is to be deflected. I think that would solve a lot of problems. Also there's the problem of dead people deflecting bullets. Enemies have too much health, and head-shots seem to do no extra damage. Melee weapons also kill in one hit no matter where they touch someone. Ammo consumption rates, rates of fire, lack of cover, inability to pick up extra ammo, and the music are all very critical on the quality of this demo. There should be an option to throw weapons and a melee gun attack. Maybe bayonets? There needs to be sound for death, gunshots, etc. Needs to be a reload animation, more story-line, weapon lockers, dodging, running, crouching, better shotgun accuracy, and range needs to have an effect on accuracy as well. Enemies should be divided into rooms, as one massive room with a ton of enemies and no cover get to be overwhelming at times. There needs to be more terrain variation and color. Maybe an Easter Egg, grenades, or something original. There is, to be honest just nothing special about this. For all I know, it could be the earliest prototype of Project Nexus! There's just nothing new about this, and it's sad in the attempts to copy other things. Since this is so basic and detail-less, I could say there's plenty of potential, but there's nothing pointing at that potential. Make this a better game. Do something original. Talk with experienced people, team up, and learn from other people. Ask Krinkels if you can look through the code for Project Nexus 1, and it may give you some ideas. This is entirely honest. Don't use "But it's a demo!" as an excuse. A demo is supposed to show quality and things to look forward to, not a giant killing spree with no variation, sound effects, or anything to catch a player's eye. . -Meowerdoom.
